Each case runs twice. The first run uses a commercial solver on the standard formulation. The second run uses Mocuga on an open-source solver. The chart marks runs that hit the time limit as "Did not finish".

Day-ahead SCUC

Mocuga commits the full fleet across the full network for the next operating day. It clears at 15-minute granularity. Five-minute granularity is available.

Real-time SCED and look-ahead

Mocuga dispatches the system every five minutes with a multi-interval look-ahead. Solve times stay inside the interval.

Studies and outputs

Reliability unit commitment and outage studies

Mocuga runs reliability unit commitment, N-1 contingency cases, and planned-outage scenarios on the same full-size model as the market run.

Market simulation and what-if studies

Mocuga replays a market day under different assumptions: a new resource, a changed constraint, a finer interval. Utilities and balancing authorities can test WEIM and EDAM participation before they sign.

Convex hull pricing
